Been busy writing a modification for Quake3 using OpenCV to do face detection. The idea is to change the perspective on the game depending on at what angle you look at the screen.

Just ordered a Bluetooth Class 1 V2.0 EDR Dongle, which has a range of 250 metres! For the Kattenbak art collective, we're doing a project with 'spamming' movies made by artists of the collective on the Kunstvlaai expo coming May. A friend of mine created a cute robot which is either scared or curious, dependent on what/who he meets... The team presented their work at the student's design competition of the Human-Robot interaction conference, and they won the first prize!

Last weekend we continued with our physical cursor project, this time doing it the way it's supposed to be, namely, the projection on the floor and walking over it, thus controlling the mouse. Here's the video.

concept for 2nd life..
where there is a lack of physical interacting (only virtual 'physical' interacting) in 2nd life, i don't think it will ever take over from 'real life'..
In that sence a 'chat box' with a different UI and some more options.
But it could be interesting if it was possible ...
