As you can see from the pictures, we have been to Berlin last week. For our Up-down stereo project, we have been recording all the places were we have seen art works. At every location, we have recorded the sound the toilet makes, using the contact mic and a regular stereo setup.
Even more, we have logged all of our trips using a GPS device, and will combine this data with the recordings and pictures we have made. In the end this will be one big physical installation, using collected physical toilet pots and playing the sound back through them, using a “contact speaker”, if such a thing exists.
