…shopping!

And that’s not all we did today. Well, indeed we went out to do some preliminary browsing of the malls at Orchard Road, after registering for the conference (the registration desk was quite hard to find — man, singapore is bigger than we thought…).
The shopping climate was OK but no really cheap deals. We got some tips for shopping for computers and electronics so we’ll be checking this out tomorrow.
Enough about the shopping. We attended the keynote of Ken Mogi, one of Japan’s leading neuroscientists/tv-stars. Very interesting talk about creativity versus memory, amongst others.
After that we visited the official opening reception in the National Museum. Met a lot of interesting people, a few of which we went to dinner and drinks with afterwards.
