About on-signal
on-signal is about stuff that interests us.
Us, in this case is, Arjan Scherpenisse and Eelco Wagenaar. Each of us having a certain technical background. Arjan on the software side, Eelco on the hardware side. And that makes it allready an interesting combinatioen. But it’s even better, we also combine it with an interest in arts (and making art).
We met each other at the DOGtime from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, amsterdam. Where we study ‘Unstable Media/Interactive Design’.
Our focus lies in many cases on the connection of virtual with physical. We think it’s an interesting area where there is still a lot to explore. So an ideal playground for new ideas and concepts.
We’ll be talking about technology (in combination with art), all the latest stuff like modding wiimote’s, hacking iPod touch programs, soldering, playing and repurposing toys, interactive pingpong installations, and the like.
You’ll get to know us better, we promise!
This blog is accompanied by our “Projects” site, a wiki in which we will not only document our achievements, but also share random thoughts, ideas, projects which will never lift off, and keep a sort of bibliograpy, an “atlas” if you want, of our work. This atlas will show our background, interests, drives.
